Fish Processing Business Review (canning production and marketing opportunities)

Project objectives:
Examination of the potential for a fish packing business to establish a fish canning plant. A review was undertaken of fish marketing in the local market and more widely in the Balkan region.

Poseidon services provided:
Outline technical and marketing plans were reviewed along with a proposed production facility (layout and costings), and an outline assessment was provided of market opportunities against the background of competition from South America and Thailand. Market analysis included: Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech and Republic.
