Project objectives:
The work assesses the socio economic impact of recent and proposed fisheries management restrictions on fishing fleets dependent dependent on North Sea plaice and sole. The management measures comprise a combination of effort restrictions, quotas and allied technical control regulations. The impact assessment integrates bio-economic and economic modelling and provides projected outputs in terms of impact on fleet profitability, value added and employment.
