Project objectives:
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) standard for a responsible managed fisheries is the leading certification standard for capture fisheries.
Moody Marine International and Poseidon applied the assessment process to the Scottish White Fish Producers Association (SWFPA) nephrops fishery.
Poseidon services provided:
A Poseidon Director was responsible for assessing the fishery against Principle 2 of MSC standard, which looks at the impact of the fishery upon non-target species, habitats and the wider marine ecosystem.
