Project objectives:
This study focussed on the development of a market led cluster initiative to to reduce poverty through assisting fishers’ participatory organizations to improve productivity, competitivity in commodity markets and to reduce risk through facilitating access to the markets, information and resources needed for sustainable fishing, including educational aspects concerning environmental concerns. The pilot project, subcontracted through NACA, draws on financial resources from the ETESP Fisheries 2007 budget.
