Project objectives:
The Crown Estate and the Association of Scottish Shellfish Growers sought economic research to explore potential barriers to the sustainable development in the shellfish farming sector on the Scottish mainland.
Poseidon services provided:
Poseidon developed a loch-scale economic model identifying where economies of scale, shared capital investments and infrastructure could improve group viability. It also explored community investment to encourage local buy-in to sustainable development plans.
