WWF commissioned this piece of work recognizing the need for arguments for improved sustainability must make the links that resonate with socio-economic imperatives of people dependent on oceans and coasts, where appropriate in monetary terms.
Poseidon services provided:
Poseidon analysed current fleet sector catches and likely profitability based on stock status for different shrimp stocks and fleet métiers in Coastal East Africa. Models were constructed to demonstrate long-term economic and employment benefits of improved fisheries management.
