Project objectives:
Poseidon and Fish Matter Ltd participated in ecosystem orientated research and modelling supported by SPC, to assess the critical management parametres for FAD fisheries.
The work assesses stock status for Western Pacific species, as well as key bycatch and ETP species, and tests these against management criteria using the MSC scoring process.
The purpose of the exercise is to evaluate management deficiencies in FAD associated fisheries, using the Western Pacific as a test case.
