Project objectives:
The main objective of this consultancy mission is to assist the EU Delegation in Egypt in preparing a programme which develops aquaculture at Lake Manzala in Egypt's Nile Delta region and at the same time acts as adaptation measure against sea-level rise.
Poseidon services provided:
Poseidon provided the aquaculture specialist (working alongside a coastal engineer).
Included two missions to Egypt to (i) investigate the aquaculture options that would fulfil both commercially viable production and coastal protection benefits and (ii) prepare EC Identification and Action Fiches for an aquaculture development programme for the lake.
