Ex post and ex ante evaluation of the Protocol to the SFPA between the EU and Madagascar

Project objectives:
The Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the EU and Madagascar, is a tuna Agreement concluded by the EU with coastal States in the Indian Ocean providing access by EU vessels to the waters of Madagascar, in exchange for financial compensation. The Agreement also provides a sectoral support component.

Poseidon services provided:
Poseidon (and its partner company, F&S), completed an ex-post evaluation of the current Protocol and an ex-ante evaluation of a possible future Protocol to the Agreement between the EU and Madagascar, in line with EU requirements. The evaluation involved consultations with relevant stakeholders in the EU and in Madagascar, and economic, social, and environmental analyses.
